Privacy policy

HiveNote does not collect your records

There is no account, no sign-in and no server. Your apiaries, hives, inspections, photos and harvests are stored in a database file inside the app's own storage on your device. HiveNote has no way to read them, because there is nowhere for them to go.

There is no analytics, no tracking, no advertising and no crash reporting.

The one thing that is collected

If you buy the one-time unlock, the purchase is handled by Apple and verified by RevenueCat, which receives the purchase itself and an anonymous identifier. It does not receive your name, your email or any of your beekeeping records, and HiveNote does not create an account or a user ID that could link the purchase to you.

This is declared on the App Store as Purchases → Purchase History, used for App Functionality and Analytics, not linked to your identity and not used for tracking. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Things that leave your device only when you ask

• Export and backup. Tapping Export or Save a backup file creates the file on your device and hands it to the iOS share sheet. Where it goes next is entirely your choice. HiveNote does not upload it.
• Dictation. Dictating a note uses iOS speech recognition. HiveNote requests on-device recognition where the device supports it. Speech handling is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
• Device backup. If you use iCloud Backup or encrypted local backups, iOS includes app data as it does for every app. That is Apple's mechanism, not ours.

Children

HiveNote is a record-keeping tool for beekeepers and is not directed at children. It collects nothing that could identify anyone.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes the database and every photo it stored. There is no copy elsewhere for us to delete.
